On January 10, RGSG Nanjing hosted an exciting event to celebrate their journey so far and unveil a new chapter in terms of brand and academic development.
As RGSG Nanjing enters their sixth year and under new ownership, the School has proudly launched their brand upgrade: “Starting Strong, RGSG Reinvented”. This initiative reflects our shared commitment to delivering the essence of a British education within the context of China, while equipping students with the skills and confidence to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world. This strategic evolution reflects the school’s dedication to combining academic excellence with cultural understanding, ensuring students remain rooted in Chinese traditions while embracing global perspectives.
A key focus of the event was the introduction of new academic pathways designed to help ambitious students access some of the world’s leading universities. These pathways aim to broaden opportunities for learners who aspire to study internationally, reinforcing RGSG Nanjing’s role as a gateway to global education.
The celebration also recognised student achievement through the awarding of scholarships to outstanding scholars, underscoring the school’s commitment to nurturing talent and rewarding excellence. Guests were formally introduced to Mr Hao Wu, representing Dongyusen Education, the new owner of RGSG Nanjing. In his address, Mr Wu emphasised the importance of maintaining Chinese roots while encouraging students to look outward to the wider world—a philosophy that aligns closely with the vision of RGS Guildford International. The event drew notable support from the UK Department for Business and Trade, alongside a message from the British Deputy Trade Ambassador to China, highlighting the strength of international collaboration in education. Adding to the significance of the occasion, Dr Jon Cox, Headmaster of RGS Guildford UK, delivered a recorded message offering continued support and reaffirming the enduring partnership between RGS Guildford schools.
