RGS Guildford, Nanjing Teaching Positions
RGS Guildford, Nanjing is a premium bilingual school that is a partnership between Gemdale Education and the Royal Grammar School, Guildford in the UK, which is a prestigious school with more than 500 years of history. The Nanjing school opened this September, and we are now recruiting staff for our second year of operation (September 2021).
The start date for the positions advertised is likely to be late July to late August 2021. Assistant Foreign Principal
The Assistant Foreign Principal will help the Foreign Principal manage international teaching and programmes at RGS Guildford Nanjing. He or she will lead international teaching operations on a daily basis in the Primary School (Grade 1 to Grade 6, UK Years 2 to 7) and will also be involved (but to a lesser extent) with the Junior High School (Grade 7 to Grade 9, UK Years 8 to 10). EAL Teacher (start 23 August)
Due to expansion we are seeking a qualified teacher with at least 3 years of experience of teaching EAL in a Senior/High School setting. The successful applicant will teach English in Grades 10-12 (and possibly a little in Grade 7 and/or 8). In addition to teaching academic lessons, a wider involvement in the life of the school is expected
We offer a generous salary package and excellent accommodation near the school, in addition to the usual benefits. However, unfortunately we are unable to offer to pay for the education of staff children, so these jobs would likely suit a single person, or a married person without children. Given the current situation with Covid, we will prioritise applications from those already in China, as there is no certainty at the moment over how easy it will be to get foreign staff into the country next year.
Chinese staff are provided with social insurance, a housing fund and accident insurance. Accommodation is provided on the school site, free of charge. Staff children may study at the school with a 50 % reduction in fees. There are holiday benefits, wedding gift money and maternity gift money. Staff are entitled to a free annual physical examination. Staff may participate in the professional title assessment of the department of education.
